The team at Bold Type have recently finished building the new website for The Finishing Touch, for Sydney marriage celebrant, Deborah Bedford. The brief was to redesign the website so that the look and feel instantly conveyed the message ‘wedding celebrant’ and to develop web content for each webpage to improve search engine optimisation and visibility on the Internet.
The results have exceeded our client’s expectation. ‘I love the design and I’m getting more people visiting than I expected, the numbers of visitors are growing and I’m getting enquiries from couples. I’m absolutely delighted with the result’ said Deborah Bedford.
Using Google stats, Deborah keeps an eye on the number of visitors, what webpages are working best, how long visitors stay, and then she makes adjustments that continually improve the page ranking on Google and other search engines.
The website was built in WordPress so that Deborah can make changes to her content, add new content such as new links to other wedding services without needing a degree in website development.
The team at Bold Type includes:
- the project manager who develops the strategic plan for the website within the framework of a larger web presence, and writes webpage content
- a web designer who takes the wireframes and adds the appropriate look and feel
- a web developer who makes the whole website workable in an open source program such as WordPress.
We, at bold Type, are currently working on a website for a real estate consultant and a website for a hair salon. Making the websites work for such diverse businesses is exciting, challenging and fun.
